Suchana Seth, the CEO of Bengaluru AI startup The Mindful AI Lab, accused of murdering her four-year-old child, appeared before Calangute police in Goa on Saturday as part of the ongoing investigation. Seth is accused of murdering her 4-year-old son in a service apartment in Candolim, north Goa, by allegedly smothering him to death before attempting to commit suicide by slashing her wrist. She then packed the child's corpse in a bag and attempted to flee back to Bengaluru but was arrested midway on January 8 in Chitradurga, Karnataka.

- The lawyer of Suchana Seth's estranged husband, Venkat Raman, told the Goa police that she had not allowed him to meet their child for the past five Sundays. Raman stated that divorce proceedings were underway in a Bengaluru family court, and despite having visitation rights granted by the court, Seth had denied him access to their son. Suchana Seth and Venkat Raman got married in 2010 and the child was born in 2018.
- When Raman confronted Seth about the accusation of murdering their child, she defiantly shifted blame onto him. Seth claimed that Raman was responsible for her situation, stating that while she was in police custody, he remained free. The exchange occurred at the Calangute police station where during Raman's statement recording.
- Raman revealed in his statement that Suchana always perceived him as a violent person who might take their son away. She initiated divorce proceedings in 2023, and the court initially allowed Raman to interact with his son via video calls.
