Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is gearing up for a colder spell in the coming days. A cold wave from North India is expected to lower temperatures to around 10–12°C. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will see maximum temperatures ranging from 27°C to 29°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 15°C and 18°C from Tuesday to Friday.
With the drop in temperatures, Bengaluru’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded at 158, placing it in the moderate category. The IMD has advised sensitive groups, including children and individuals with respiratory issues, to limit outdoor activities to reduce exposure to moderate air pollution, which may pose health risks.
This season is shaping up to be one of Bengaluru’s coldest winters in recent years. Temperatures have already begun to dip, and further declines are anticipated as the chill intensifies, offering Bangaloreans cooler and crisp weather conditions.
On the other hand, Delhi experienced a significant drop in temperature on Thursday, as cold wave conditions and inclement weather enveloped the city.
