On Thursday, during a late evening press conference at the conclusion of the NATO summit and afterwards, Biden got two names mixed up and this the latest in a series of gaffes which has raised questions on the fitness levels of the president. Many of the democrats feel in private that this may be the last nail in the coffin of Biden’s presidential bid. This was a chance for Biden to not only prove himself but also an opportunity to arrest America’s declining influence in the global area. He appears to have failed in both the tasks.
At the conclusion of the NATO summit, while addressing a press conference with many world leaders standing next to him, Biden’s first gaffe came to the forefront. While introducing the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the press, he mistakenly said that he was introducing the President of Ukraine Vladimir Putin. Putin happens to be the President of the Russian Federation. This was the first gaffe.
