BJP women leaders to handle PM Narendra Modi's Jaipur, Bhopal rallies
Women Reservation Bill in Parliament, the BJP is working persistently to capitalise on it marking it as a major achievement under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
PM Modi is all set to address two big rallies in Jaipur and Bhopal on Monday and the BJP has given complete charge of the rally, stage and crowd management to the party's Mahila Morcha leaders.
In Bhopal where state leaders are busy preparing for a successful program on Monday during the PM's visit, important roles have been assigned to women leaders and Mahila Morcha of the party.
«The women in the party as well as the state want to thank PM Modi for the historic Women Reservation Bill. He will be welcomed by women leaders and through different programs, women leaders will express gratitude to the Prime Minister,» Kavita Patidar, state BJP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP, told ET.
In MP, the BJP government state has several women-centric schemes already running and the party is projecting the Women Reservation Bill as another major step to empower women.
MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is betting on the 'Ladli Behna Scheme' for women above 21 years for another election victory.
He has already announced to increase the monthly allowance amount under the scheme from Rs 1000 to Rs 1250. On Saturday, he announced that unmarried women of 21 years age will also get the benefits of the scheme.
There are discussions that Chouhan may increase the amount further and make it Rs 1500, as has been promised by the Congress in coming days.
In Rajasthan, the PM's rally will be held in Jaipur marking the completion of 'Parivartan Yatra' undertaken by the party. This will be PM Modi's first big rally in the last four years in Jaipur and party leaders are working hard
