FBI', and 'Chicago Fire' have returned. Wolf Entertainment announced on Wednesday, October 4 that writers have returned to work on these shows.
Wolf's overall deal was not suspended during the nearly five-month-long WGA strike as he remained at work in a producing capacity on an unscripted show.
'The Wrap' has reported that some changes will be made. Andrea Newman will now present 'Chicago Fire' alone, earlier he ran the show alongside Derek Haas. Executive Producer Matt Olmstead will now be the showrunner of 'FBI: International' Season 3.
After Sean Jablonski left Christopher Meloni-led 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' in March this year, a new showrunner has been picked up. 'SVU' showrunner David Graziano will pitch in to oversee the final three episodes of Organized Crime's Season 3.
SVU lead Mariska Hargitay was one of the writers to join the picket outside Paramount Global’s New York City office back in June. Talking to 'Variety', he said, «I have been your captain for 25 years on SVU, and I could not have done it without the writers. Every word has been out of my mouth for 25 years. So I stand here and say, let's get this done.»
NBC has renewed six of Wolf's series, 'Law & Order', 'Law & Order: SVU', 'Law & Order: Organized Crime', 'Chicago Med', 'Chicago Fire', and 'Chicago P.D.' All of these shows will be available for streaming on Peacock.
There has yet to be a known official date for the release of any of the abovementioned shows. However, none of them is likely to be back on air with new episodes in 2024.
