Ross Pamphilon (pictured), joins Impax Asset Management as its head of fixed income.
Pamphilon joins the asset manager to run the growing number of fixed income fund managers and analysts within Impax's listed investments team.
The team runs strategies within US investment grade and US high yield, and has fixed income assets under management and advice of £1.4bn.

Pamphilon will be based in London and report to Charles French, deputy chief investment officer for listed investments.
The new fixed income head takes up the position after moving over from Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he was also head of fixed income for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, in charge of managing the global fixed income and European credit team.
Prior to that, Pamphilon was co-founder of European Credit Management Asset Management, an institutional fund house he established in 1999 focused on fixed income, which was sold to Wachovia (Wells Fargo) in 2007.

At ECM, Pamphilon built a career as a portfolio manager and held senior roles including head of portfolio management, head of investments and chief investment officer, with responsibility for portfolio management, credit research and investment strategy.
Before ECM, he was an emerging markets debt trader at Merrill Lynch in London and New York.
