Faridabad Court has issued another notice against Sandeep Maheshwari for allegedly making comments despite restrictions imposed by the court in the Vivek Bindra case. In its orders on December 22, 2023, and February 5, 2024, the court prohibited both parties from making negative remarks or engaging in campaigns against each other, whether online or offline.
However, despite these orders, Sandeep Maheshwari purportedly held public meetings. According to the notice, Sandeep Maheshwari is required to appear before the court on May 28th.
The origin of this legal conflict can be traced back to a video released by Maheshwari on December 11, 2023, which sparked a series of exchanges in the form of posts and videos between the two. Subsequently, in December 2023, Bindra filed a case in Faridabad.
Upon Vivek Bindra's application, the District Court Faridabad banned both Sandeep Maheshwari and Bindra from speaking against each other on public platforms.
Previously, the court had also issued summons for criminal defamation against Sandeep Maheshwari under sections 499 and 500 of the IPC. Meanwhile, the Faridabad Court lifted the ban imposed on Vivek Bindra on April 4, 2024.
