Mohammad Sameer, alias Maya, the leader of the Maya gang, who watched 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' on TV. He really liked the character named 'Maya', played by Vivek Oberoi. This inspired him to create a group called 'Maya Gang', and he started calling himself 'Maya bhai'.
He even changed his Instagram username to 'king_maya_302' (the last digits referring to the IPC section on murder).
For months, Sameer's group of teenagers has been causing trouble by shooting and robbing people in northeast. Because they are underage, the police had difficulties dealing with them. These youngsters, who were ready to use guns for illegal activities, had become a big problem for both the police and the public.
On his Instagram bio, Sameer describes himself as: «Naam — badnam, address — kabristan, umr — jeene ki, shauk — marne ka.»
Sameer just turned 18 years old, yet he's already been involved in four murders.
His Instagram page is full of photos and videos where he proudly displays rifles and pistols. There's even a video where he's shooting these guns.
Having gathered over 2,000 followers on Instagram, Sameer employed this social media channel to become well-known. In a post from July 2022, he shared a video where a YouTuber interviewed people from northeast Delhi who accused Sameer of committing a murder in their area.
