Flight schedules have been impacted, and travelers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport and allow extra time for travel. «While landings and take offs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,» said Delhi Airport in its advisory.
As per IMD, the temperature in Delhi had dropped to 8 degree Celsuis.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted “smog/moderate fog at most places and dense fog at isolated places” for today, with surface winds likely to reach speeds of up to 15 km/h. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 17 and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
IMD has also indicated “above-normal temperatures” for January in Delhi and its neighboring regions, with no chances of cold wave conditions.
