Den of Thieves 2: Pantera premiered at number one in the North American box office. It has earned over $32 million domestically. The film became available on premium video on demand on Tuesday.
Gerard Butler is expected to reprise his role and produce through his G-BASE banner, alongside partner Alan Siegel. Lionsgate is in discussions with Christian Gudegast to write and direct the third installment. O'Shea Jackson Jr. is anticipated to co-star.

Tucker Tooley Entertainment, which produced and co-financed the first film, will co-produce and jointly finance the third installment. Tucker Tooley will produce under his label. Lionsgate will distribute the next chapter. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is expected to join as an executive producer.
