Destiny 2 is nearing The Final Shape, the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga. Guardians will enter the Traveller to confront the Witness and end their schemes. This expansion includes the Salvation’s Edge raid, an essential endgame content piece. The raid will shape the future of the franchise.
Release Date and Start Time
The Salvation’s Edge raid was released on June 7, 2024, three days after the expansion. It launches at 10 AM PT. Players have limited time to prepare for the World’s First race.
Raid Bosses
In The Final Shape’s raid, Guardians will face The Witness. Joe Blackburn confirmed this. The Witness, the antagonist of major expansions, will be the primary foe in the raid.
Contest Mode
The raid will have a Contest Mode modifier for the first 48 hours. This mode caps players' power at 20 below the recommended level, increasing the raid's difficulty. Completing the raid in Contest Mode is a significant achievement. Bungie rewards players with a special emblem for this feat.
