CBS is developing a new series based on the character Van Helsing. Jonathan Lee is writing the series. Lee is known for his work on Netflix and BBC’s upcoming drama series Lockerbie. The new Van Helsing series landed at CBS after a competitive auction.

Production Team
Rob Doherty, known for creating 'Elementary,' is executive producing the series. Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman are also executive producers. They are working under their deal with Lionsgate Television, which is the studio behind the series.
Plot
The series is a modern take on Dr. Abraham Van Helsing. Van Helsing is portrayed as a monster hunter who uses his investigative skills to solve crimes. He works alongside his ex-partner, FBI special agent Mina Harker. They tackle some of New York City’s toughest cases.
