Amazon Prime Video has canceled "Outer Range" after two seasons, media reports said. So, the show will not come up with Season 3. The series, starring Josh Brolin, premiered in 2022 with its second season released in May.

Charles Murray was the showrunner and executive producer. Brolin also served as an executive producer. Other executive producers included Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Ernest McNealey, Tony Krantz, Heather Rae, and Jon Paré.

The series focused on Royal Abbott, a rancher fighting for his land and family. He discovers a dark void at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness. In Season Two, the mystery around the void deepens. Royal and his wife Cecelia struggle to keep their family together after their granddaughter's sudden disappearance. The stakes are high as the Abbotts face threats on multiple fronts.
Amazon does not share viewership data for their shows. However, «Outer Range» made it into the Nielsen Top 10 original streaming rankings. It peaked at number three in the week following its premiere. Critics gave the show favorable reviews, with an 85% average approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
