Whoopi Goldberg's birthday dessert order over political views. Bakery owner Jill Holtermann shares that she did not deny the request because of Goldberg's politics and that she informed Goldberg two weeks ago that she was experiencing equipment issues in her kitchen, as quoted in a report by Entertainment.
A 145-year-old New York bakery has denied Whoopi Goldberg's on-air claims that it refused to make special treats for her 69th birthday episode of The View due to her political beliefs.
Shortly after closing Wednesday's episode of the show with a round of Charlotte Russe desserts at the Hot Topics table, Goldberg declined to name the bakery that made the desserts, speculating that they initially denied her order due to her political beliefs.
