According to Reuters, the remarks of US Vice President JD Vance which was made in an interview with the Wall Street Journal ahead of the Munich Security Conference reportedly suggested that the military options could be considered if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not engage sincerely in negotiations.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that comments of US Vice President JD Vance represented a new element in the US policy while prompting Moscow to seek further details. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced that the US and Russian officials would meet in Munich, although, at the same time, Ukraine stated that it did not expect to participate in talks there, asserted Reuters.
Amidst these developments, severe concerns arose amongst the Ukraine and its European allies about being sidelined in negotiations.
