Taylor Swift’s public endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris has sparked mixed reactions among voters, according to a recent YouGov poll. Swift, known for her massive global following, took to Instagram to express her support for Harris.
However, the endorsement may not have had the desired effect on the electorate.
Despite Swift's attempt to rally support for Kamala Harris, the YouGov poll, conducted on September 11 and 12, suggests the endorsement has had a limited impact, as per the Yahoo News report. Only 8% of respondents said Swift’s approval would make them “somewhat” or “much more likely” to vote for Harris in the upcoming election.

On the other hand, 20% of those surveyed indicated that they would be less likely to support Harris after hearing about Swift’s endorsement.
This lukewarm response raises questions about the influence of celebrity endorsements in the political sphere. Swift, with 284 million Instagram followers, aimed to mobilize young voters by urging them to register and participate in the election.
