After the meeting, which came in the run-up to a series of polls in states such as Haryana, some farmer representatives said they would stick to their decision to mobilise another protest, including a march to New Delhi.
Gandhi said the INDIA bloc leaders will discuss and raise the issue of farmers' demand for legal guarantee on MSP. «Legal guarantee of MSP is the right of farmers. India will ensure that they get this right,» he later said in a post on X.
Congress leaders said the delegation also had representatives from Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Earlier, there was some confusion as some members of the delegation were not reportedly permitted entry into the high-security Parliament House but later they were allowed, even though Gandhi had said he could visit them outside Parliament House.
