Jay-Z refutes claims that he and Sean Diddy Combs abused a 13-year-old in 2000. A woman who claims that Sean Diddy Combs assaulted her has added claims that Jay-Z also assaulted her at the same party to her lawsuit.
The woman added Shawn Carter, the rapper and businessman known as Jay-Z, as a defendant in the civil lawsuit on Sunday after it was first filed against Combs in October. In relation to Combs, Carter is the first well-known person to face allegations of assault.
Carter described the accusations as so heinous in nature that he implores to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one, in a statement to CNN.
Combs was charged with prostitution-related offences, racketeering conspiracy, and trafficking. Approximately 30 civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs, who has denied any wrongdoing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges, as quoted in a report by CNN.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims that Combs and Carter allegedly assaulted her at an after-party after the Video Music Awards in 2000, when she was 13 years old. The woman claims that after drinking at the party, she started to feel dizzy and wandered into a nearby bedroom. According to the woman, Combs assaulted her after Carter did. In the original lawsuit, Carter was named Celebrity A.
