Rahe na Rahe hum…Mehka karenge
Certain things in the universe are eternal: Legendary singer Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, the Nightingale of India, also known as Swar Kokila, has been the voice of India for several decades and will be fondly remembered for her soulful singing for generations to come. She was a complete artiste. Legends always complement their art with some other art form. Similarly, Lataji had a love and passion for photography which has been a less well-known fact.
We have rarely seen any photographs shot by her. And this has further increased our curiosity and interest to see her great and unseen work in photography...
This Coffee Table brings together Lataji's art of photography, as we now have her prodigious work available in a single compilation.
Great art and great infrastructure connect people, bringing them together, and have the power for the emotional, cultural and moral evolution of society.
At IRB, we take great pride in associating ourselves as a co-presenter of this noble initiative.
On behalf of the entire IRB family, I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Mayuresh Pai, Latika Creations, Mangeshkar Family, and The Times Group for this outstanding initiative of presenting this beautiful compilation for you.
Sincerely,
Virendra D. Mhaiskar
Chairman & Managing Director
