Ram temple in Ayodhya is set to be inaugurated, the city of Hyderabad earns a place of honor with its name etched on the intricately designed wooden doors that adorn the sacred structure. Anuradha Timbers, a century-old firm based in Hyderabad, has been entrusted with the task of crafting these doors, many of which will be adorned with gold plating, a TOI report stated.
In the initial phase, the company will construct 118 doors for the temple, including those for its inner sanctum, with plans for additional doors in subsequent phases, according to company officials. Currently, 18 doors, standing at a height of about 9 feet, are undergoing the gold plating process and are scheduled for installation along with the rest from January 1.
Anuradha Timbers, renowned for its international projects dating back to the British era, has previously contributed to the construction of well-known shrines such as Tirupati, Yadadri, and Rameshwaram.
The firm has also ventured into the creation of luxury yachts for Saudi royalty and Russian businessmen in recent times.
Sarath Babu (47), the managing director of Anuradha Timbers International, situated in Bowenpally, expressed pride in the firm's reputation, stating, «Ours is an international firm of repute. We were invited to take part in the selections along with some of the best firms from India.
We got selected on merit. Our artisans managed to impress the selection panel with their detailed carvings on one-and-a-half-inch pillars of the temple model.»
