Renowned designer Arun Pabuwal, known for his exquisite serveware creations used by European royalty and former US Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama during their visits to India in 2010 and 2015, was enlisted by ITC to curate the G20 silverware collection. This collection, the result of rigorous planning, covers a wide range of possibilities and metal compositions, as well as extensive sampling, including kansa, before the final choice was chosen.
The sculptures are made of a variety of metal alloys, culminating in a luxurious covering of pure silver.
The journey to create this exquisite silverware began nearly six months ago, when the ITC Hotel Maurya in New Delhi worked closely with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) to conceptualize food presentation designs and concepts. The pursuit of perfection left Pabuwal's company with just three weeks to produce and deliver nearly 15,000 pieces of cutlery and serveware.
Arun's Group of Companies, led by Pabuwal, is well-known for producing serveware and cutlery for esteemed designers and architects worldwide, including luminaries like Georgio Armani.
Beyond serveware, Pabuwal's portfolio includes crafting trophies for prestigious international events such as the Reliance World Cup 1987, MRF World Series Cup 1989, Hero Cup 1993, Wills World Cup 1996, and the ICC World Cup, among others.
Over the years, the group has diversified into specialized niches, including curating cutlery and silverware for specialty restaurants and hotels in India and abroad. Their
