Gangster couple Kala Jathedi, Madam Minz to marry in Delhi amidst 200-strong police force
Delhi's Dwarka district on March 12th. Gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi, currently lodged in Tihar jail, will tie the knot with Anuradha Choudhary alias Madam Minz, another alleged criminal, in a ceremony guarded by over 200 police personnel.
Fortress Wedding Venue
The venue, Santosh Garden in Dwarka Sector-3, will resemble a fortress for the occasion. Sandeep's lawyer booked the banquet for Rs 51,000. The Delhi Police will deploy a significant force, including 250 police officers, SWAT commandos equipped with advanced weaponry, special cell and crime branch teams, and officers from Haryana's CIA (Crime Investigation Agency), according to news agency PTI.
Reason for Heavy Security
This security detail stems from Sandeep's violent past. He has a history of escaping custody and orchestrating the escape of an associate.
Escape from Custody
In 2020, while being transported to Faridabad court by Haryana Police, Sandeep and his gang members reportedly opened fire, injuring an officer, and facilitated his escape.
Hospital Shootout In 2021, Sandeep and his associates staged a shootout at Delhi's GTB Hospital, freeing an associate named Kuldeep Fajja from police custody. Fajja was later re-captured and killed in an encounter with Delhi Police's special cell.
Court-Approved Parole Despite this, a Delhi court granted Sandeep a six-hour parole for his wedding, allowing him to be outside jail from 10 am to 4 pm on March 12th. The following day, he will be escorted to his hometown in Sonipat for post-wedding rituals.
