Barack Obama is concerned about the upcoming Presidential Election in November. According to the Washington Post, he has shared his concerns with top members of the Democratic Party that he is worried about the legacy of his former deputy and the future prospects of the party.
It has been reported that the former president has spoken to Joe Biden after the first presidential debate and has been in touch with other senior members of the party from the US Congress. There is growing opposition to Biden’s presidential nomination which he is expected to secure at the national convention in August.
Joe Biden had served as the Vice-President from 2009-2017 when Barack Obama served as the first non-white President of the US. While in public, the two share a good rapport, there are media reports which indicate that the two do not see eye to eye on many issues.

Obama had earlier said that he supports Biden’s nomination. He has said this on multiple occasions during fund raising events, interviews and even on social media. It has now emerged that he is holding talks with Biden to encourage him to step aside and make way for another candidate in the upcoming presidential election.
