According to the Independent's report, Trump fell for various baits laid out for him by Harris, and was even seen going on the offense when Harris talked about the small sizes of the crowd in some his rallies across the United States. Interestingly, this was a similar comment that Trump had consistently passed around Biden and Harris' initial campaign speeches across major US cities. He even claimed that the DNC 2024 was also poorly attended, and had posted along the same lines.

There are a lot of pollsters, who are stating that Donald Trump missed out on dominating Kamala Harris in the debate, which would mean a missed opportunity around gaining on some popularity ratings across major surveys and polls.
Moreover, Trump's stance in the debate was seen as quite shaky and much on the offense, leading to major concerns about Trump losing his stronghold in the US elections. However, he still looks pretty good on paper, as the former US President has, throughout this election cycle, fared really well in the campaigns.
