Singh said the party prepared the manifesto after an extensive and comprehensive exercise. BJP received lakhs of suggestions online as well as through institutions and individuals.
Rajnath Singh said they received 4 lakh inputs through the NAMO app, while about 10 lakh suggestions were received through videos. The BJP manifesto committee received 15 lakh such inputs.
After screening the suggestions, the committee then held deliberations on the major inputs. «We also deliberated upon the financial implications of the suggestions, whether they are related to the Centre or states, or if they are related to the concurrent list,» Singh said. The committee also discussed whether there are any existing schemes related to the suggestions or if they have any implications on friendly countries, Singh added.
