«I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as General Manager, Head — Strategic Initiatives at Tata Motors!» said Shantanu Naidu in a post on LinkedIn.
«I remember when my father used to walk home from the Tata motors plant, in his white shirt and navy pants, and I would wait for him in the window. It comes full circle now,» added Naidu in the post.
Naidu's connection with Tata began in 2014, rooted in their mutual love for dogs. As a fifth-generation Tata employee, Naidu approached Tata for support in designing glow-in-the-dark collars for stray dogs to prevent accidents. Within two months, Tata invited him to Mumbai to collaborate on the project, which became known as Motopaws.
Their friendship deepened as they worked on various projects aimed at animal welfare. Tata's support was crucial in launching Naidu's startup, Motopaws, dedicated to improving the safety of stray dogs. Their shared passion for animals formed a strong foundation for their bond, and Naidu affectionately called Tata his «Millennial Dumbledore,» acknowledging the wisdom and kindness he saw in him.
