Raymond CEO — Lifestyle Business Sunil Kataria was re-elected as the India Society of Advertisers (ISA) Chairman for 2023-24 at the newly elected Executive Council meeting on September 28.
Kataria has led the ISA over the past seven years to greater heights, garnering support from fellow Executive Council members, the ISA members, and other industry bodies.
On his re-election, Kataria said, “In our journey towards creating a greater value proposition for the ISA in the industry, the focus will be to make this unique body even stronger in the future to provide value-added support to our members for the new normal and beyond.
With digital advertising having ascended to a prime position in India and growing even further, our endeavor this year would be to take forward our efforts in the area of digital measurement along with other industry stakeholders."
He noted that a big priority for ISA would be working with industry organizations in the coming months on the rollout of a media charter that would comprise a model media agency contract, zero tolerance to ad fraud, brand safety, viewability, a common minimum standard for advertisers in the first-party data space, and cross-screen measurement.
Kataria stated that ISA is enhancing its partnership with the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) as its founder member.
As one of the founders of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), it is also partnering with the ASCI Academy to collaborate in the areas of education, training, and research with a view to contributing to the cause of honest and ethical advertising practices, he added.
