Racist Remarks During Interview
After successfully clearing his first interview, the developer decided to research the company and found multiple issues with its website. During his second interview, he brought these flaws to the interviewer's attention. However, instead of constructive discussion, the interviewer became defensive and agitated.
«During the second interview, I brought up the flaws in the website and the interviewer got heated and very defensive. And then when after our conversation was ending, he asked me, 'So what are you guys doing out there in India? Scamming and s**t?'» the developer shared.
The offensive comment took him aback, and he immediately pushed back, telling the interviewer not to make such remarks. However, his concerns were dismissed.
Inappropriate Comments About Appearance
Beyond the racist insult, the recruiter also made personal remarks about the engineer’s appearance.
«He made some weird remarks like: 'What are your future plans? When you've lost all of your hair and not attractive?' For context, I have long hair, but I just nervously laughed it off because I was uncomfortable,» the developer revealed.
Despite these red flags, he reluctantly accepted the job due to financial constraints.
