Following a successful initial interview, he decided to research the company and soon identified several issues with its website. «During my second round of discussions, I pointed out the website’s flaws, but the interviewer reacted aggressively and became quite defensive. As our conversation was drawing to a close, he suddenly asked me, ‘So what exactly do people in India do? Just scam others and pull off frauds?’» the engineer recalled.
He responded sharply, confronting the interviewer and insisting that such offensive remarks were inappropriate. However, his objections were dismissed.
Insulted Over Physical Appearance
The developer further revealed that the interviewer proceeded to make bizarre and inappropriate comments regarding his looks. «He casually asked me, ‘What are your plans for the future? What will you do when you go bald and are no longer good-looking?’ For context, I have long hair, but the comment made me very uncomfortable. I felt uneasy but just laughed awkwardly,» he explained.
Despite these red flags, he reluctantly accepted the job due to financial constraints.

Just two days into his new role, his work laptop encountered technical difficulties while he was in the middle of a project. He immediately apologized for the inconvenience, but the interviewer reacted harshly. «He turned extremely aggressive, accused me of being a 'scammer,' and even said, 'People like you always do this—you can’t be trusted with responsibilities.' I

We’ve already started this transition, and we plan to do more of it this fiscal.”Beyond mobile phones and laptops, EMS firms are expanding into smart metres for electricity boards, aerospace and defence subsystems, railway safety instrumentation, printed circuit boards and display assemblies, and medical devices deployed in hospitals.India’s annual mobile phone shipments have remained subdued since the covid-19 pandemic, with industry estimates pointing to a single-digit decline this calendar year from 152 million smartphones shipped last year.The margin pressure driving this shift is increasingly visible.In FY26, Syrma SGS reported an operating margin of 7.1%, up 2.3 percentage points.
