Many of the communication satellites are placed in this orbit which is located approximately 22,000 miles from the equator. There are other satellites that are placed in the Low Earth Orbit. They are located at an altitude of less than 2000km or less. Many of the satellites of Elon Musk are placed in this orbit. Regional navigational satellites and weather forecasting satellites are some of them placed in this orbit.
