neurological experts and doctors who are involved in diagnosing Parkinson’s disease have pointed out US President Joe Biden is displaying symptoms of this neurodegenerative disorder. This has raised question on his declining cognitive health as well as his fitness to continue in office for a second term. It is in this regard that a doctor who replied to an op-ed on New York Times said that Biden should not step down and he can still continue in office. There have also been calls to replace Biden on the ballot box due to his health concerns. The President has denied all reports pertaining to his health and also resolved to continue his presidential bid.
Dr Thomas Vosburgh made certain observations in the form of a letter replying to an op-ed in the New York Times. The op-ed had pointed out the various symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease. It also stated that Joe Biden was suffering from an early onset of symptoms associated with Parkinson’s. The op-ed went on to ask Biden to step down and also said that he was unfit to hold office for a second term. The op-ed has called on the president to drop his election bid.
Dr Thomas Vosburgh responded and agreed with the op-ed that Biden is indeed suffering from an early onset of Parkinson’s disease. He went on to add that the symptoms can be treated and it is not threatening enough to derail a second term. The Doctor added that he could still continue in office. They are interventions that can treat Parkinson’s disease.
