The report has noted that the Democrats face an existential threat due to Trump’s ascendency and his increasing popularity level. Pelosi who had earlier opposed Trump during his term of presidency, feels strongly that it is important to defeat him in the upcoming presidential election in November.

She is also of the view that Biden is not up to the challenge to defeat Trump and will need to step down. Trump had faced an impeachment motion in his first term of presidency and Pelosi had played an important role in it.
