Kamala Harris and her campaign is actually celebrating a latest ruling by a Georgia judge who has temporarily blocked a very new rule which required election officials to hand count ballots following machine tabulation of votes, reported Fox News. Actually, the rule was all set to take effect on and from October 22 and made a mandate that there will be three county election officials who will manually count ballots at each polling place which eventually raised concerns about potential delays and voter uncertainties, as per a report.
According to Fox News, a joint statement was issued on behalf of Georgia Democratic Party Chair Rep. Nikema Williams, DNC acting Co-Executive Director Monica Guardiola and Harris- Walz Deputy Campaign Manager Quentin Fulks criticizing the rule claiming it as an attempt to undermine confidence in the electoral process.

Robert McBurney, the judge of Fulton County Superior Court had primarily expressed concerns regarding the lack of training and funding for election workers while implementing the new procedure and warned of an administrative chaos which could disrupt fair elections, noted Fox News. Although, Robert McBurney acknowledged the fact that the rule seemed pretty aligned with the State Election Board’s goal of ensuring legal action while he noted that handling ballots multiple times would rather increase public tension.
