As he excitedly approached Karan, who was casually chatting with some women and children, Zane pondered aloud, “What do I call him? KJo? Karan? Mr. Johar?” Settling on ‘uncle’, Zane greeted the filmmaker with a cheerful “Hi, uncle!” Karan’s reaction was pure gold as he looked surprised and asked, “Uncle? Did you just call me uncle?” before walking away.
One user humorously noted, “He (Karan Johar) hates being called KJo,” while another suggested, “You can call him guru maa (teacher)…” Some expected a warmer response from Karan, like “Hi beta (son),” adding to the playful banter online.
