Mahindra Ltd on Friday announced that they will be undertaking a proactive inspection of over 1 lakh XUV700 units due to the risk of abrasion cut of wiring loom, said the company through its exchange filing. The company in its statement said that they will be inspecting wiring loom routing in the engine bay of 1,08,306 units of XUV700 manufactured between June 8, 2021 to June 28, 2023 due to a potential risk of abrasion cut of wiring loom.
Along with XUV700, 3,560 units of XUV400 vehicle manufactured between February 16 to June 5 of this year will be inspected for ineffective spring return action of the brake potentiometer. «This is keeping in line with the company’s customer-centric approach,» said the auto manufacturer on its decision to inspect its XUV vehicles.
Customers who are using the mentioned models will be personally contacted by the company after which inspections and subsequent rectification will be carried out, said the statement. «The inspection and subsequent rectification will be carried out free of cost.
