The sight of Dhoni casually using a phone during training seemed to contradict his past statements about his minimal mobile usage. In 2023, during the launch of the GapUp platform promoted by Rigi, Dhoni remarked, “I do have a phone, but I use it only to set an alarm at night. It does the job of waking me up in the morning.”
This video prompted reactions from fans, some calling out the apparent contradiction. “Lied in the interview saying he doesn’t use phones and only uses it to set an alarm to wake up. Sure!” one fan commented. Another humorously suggested, “Just clearing notifications.”
However, not all reactions focused on Dhoni’s phone usage. Several fans were in awe of his incredible fitness at 43. One user noted, “Man, he looks super fit and muscular,” while another admired, “Look at the biceps.”
