According to ANI, the outbreak has been detected in Konnur, Madanapuram Mandal, Wanaparthy district. The disease has already led to the deaths of approximately 2,500 chickens within just three days, confirmed K. Venkateshwar, District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Officer of Wanaparthy.
Officials from the District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department inspected the site and collected samples for laboratory testing. «The deaths occurred over three days—117 on the 16th, 300 on the 17th, and the remaining on the 18th. We were informed thereafter and sent the samples for testing on the 19th,» officials stated.
The affected poultry farm, Premium Form, operates as an integrated system with a capacity of 5,500 birds and is owned by Shivakehavulu.
