Navjot Singh Sidhu announced on Thursday that his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, has been declared clinically cancer-free after battling the disease for over a year. Speaking at a press conference, Sidhu revealed that his wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer around 1.5 to 2 years ago and was initially given only a 3 per cent chance of survival. Despite the odds, she overcame the illness through determination and a disciplined lifestyle.
Navjot Singh Sidhu shared that his wife’s recovery wasn’t due to wealth but rather her commitment to a strict routine, emphasizing that cancer treatment is effective even in government hospitals. Navjot Kaur followed a carefully planned diet that included lemon water, raw turmeric, apple cider vinegar, neem leaves, and tulsi. Her meals featured nutrient-rich foods like citrus fruits, pumpkin, pomegranate, amla, beetroot, and walnuts.
Her mornings started with spiced tea made of cinnamon, cloves, jaggery, and cardamom. She maintained an early dinner routine, eating by 6:30 p.m., and her first meal of the day was at 10 a.m. Cooked meals were prepared using anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer ingredients like coconut oil, cold-pressed oils, or almond oil. Rice and roti were eliminated from her evening diet and was instead given quinoa. Sidhu expressed his gratitude and pride in her disciplined fight against cancer.
