This famous Chinese EV maker was trying to copy Tesla's Cybertruck in one of its facilities, video goes viral
On social media, a 40-second video is going round which shows several people checking the BYD facility and showing the Cybertruck to view it from all sides and angles. The car examined was a Foundation Series Cybertruck, and all tailgates, interiors, and exterior features were keenly analyzed. This is one of the early prototypes that would prove useful for BYD on knowledge acquisition into Tesla's design and technologies.
There are two primary theories about what BYD could be doing with the Cybertruck. One is benchmarking, a common practice in the automotive industry where companies purchase competitors' vehicles to study their designs and features.BYD could be analyzing the Cybertruck to see what makes it stand out in the EV market.
It is also possible that BYD is getting ready to tear the Cybertruck down to a level where they can closely study its powertrain, electrical systems, and all other technological innovations to make further improvements on its own electric vehicle offerings to remain at par with Tesla.
