Netflix will soon roll out a docuseries narrating the journey of U.S. Women’s National Team or the USWNT to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. It will be the fifth world cup if they win. Win or lose, Netflix will capture their journey and excitement to cater to the world, particularly to the U.S. audience. The U.S.A. is not known for football and its men’s national team ranks much below on the table. But the USWNT is the current holder of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. It has evolved over the years since 1991 when the FFA Women’s World Cup was launched in China. Netflix series will certainly try to depict this scenario. The docuseries is yet to be named. Netflix will co-produce the series in association with TIME Studios, Words + Pictures, and Togethxr. The official date of release too has not been announced, but it will be released most likely in the Fall of this year. But, if the USWNT win the world cup, the series may be released before it. The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicked off July 20 in Auckland, New Zealand. The inaugural match was played between co-hots New Zealand and Norway. Norway won the match 1-0. The final will be held on August 20 in the Australian city of Sydney. Most of the experts have predicted that the USWNT will reach the final and they are most likely to win the world cup.
