Matt Patricia’s coaching background
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Buckeyes are nearing a deal to appoint Matt Patricia as their new defensive coordinator.
Patricia brings a wealth of experience to the Buckeyes, having spent the 2023 season as a senior defensive assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles. Before that, he enjoyed a long tenure with the New England Patriots, where he served in multiple roles, including defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2017. Under his guidance, the Patriots secured three Super Bowl titles.
