Modi was accorded a warm welcome by the PMO staff when he arrived on Monday to take charge in his new term. Addressing the officials, he said it has always been his endeavour since he assumed office a decade back to turn the PMO into a centre for service of the people.
«We have tried to develop the PMO as a catalytic agent which becomes a source of new energy and inspiration,» the prime minister said.
The prime minister gave credit to the government officials also for the election results as they have dedicated themselves for a vision. He asked officials who, he said, gave him 10 years of support, to look for ways in which they can do even better, faster and on a larger scale.
«I firmly believe that through this result, 140 crore people have put their stamp of approval on their hard work. Hence, those who really deserve credit for it are the officials,» he said.
