National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI), an industry body representing over 500,000 restaurants in the country, is planning to approach the courts to seek intervention on standalone 10-minute food delivery apps launched by Zomato-owned Blinkit and Swiggy, people in the know said.

The NRAI will discuss the matter at a town hall meeting on Wednesday with its member restaurants to decide the next steps after senior officials of the industry group met executives at Zomato and Swiggy to discuss the matter.
Meanwhile, Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has written a letter to the company's restaurant partners attempting to address issues raised around the 10-minute food delivery, ET has learnt.
The meetings between the two parties, which happened over the past few days, failed to yield any outcome, a person who was a part of these discussions said, on the condition of anonymity.
“Restaurants raised their concerns with the platforms over private labelling and data sharing…while both Swiggy and Zomato tried to allay the issues flagged by them, there was no common ground at which the platforms and restaurants could arrive,” the person said.
