In the Nifty index, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 6.44 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 3.13 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.65 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
