The NSE Nifty index traded 174.35 points down at 23170.4, while BSE Sensex was 729.04 points at 76344.4 as of 10:27AM(IST)on January 21.
In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 3.27 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.76 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.
