Sandro Rosta will join the cast of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy as a cadet in the original series, as per a recent announcement from Paramount+. Rosta recently received his degree from the drama school at Oxford. He recently made his debut at Hampstead Theatre in «The Harmony Test.» He starred in plays at Jermyn Street Theatre while attending school, including «Romeo and Juliet,» «The Cherry Orchard» and «The Watsons.»
In one of the most fabled locations in the galaxy, the upcoming series will chronicle the experiences of a fresh class of Starfleet cadets as they mature. Youthful and spirited cadets force work in camaraderie to attain hope. They defy all odds, surpass the challenges of friendships, the alacrity of first love, and combat a new harrowing enemy, only to realize what it takes to be a part of Starfleet Academy.

Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, Kerrice Brooks and Rosta will all be joining as cadets in the series. Paul Giamatti will play the season's antagonist, while Holly Hunter will play the roles of academy captain and chancellor. The series will also feature Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman reprising their roles from earlier «Star Trek» episodes. Recurrent guest star Gina Yashere will make appearances.
Noga Landau and Alex Kurtzman are executive producers and co-showrunners. Executive producing and writing the first episode is Gaia Violo.
