Coromandel International Ltd.(up 4.06%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 3.06%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 2.62%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.37%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.13%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 1.95%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.93%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.74%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 1.67%) and Aries Agro Ltd.(up 1.66%) stood among the top gainers.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 50.0 points at 23205.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 115.39 points at 76520.38.
