Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls
Marico Ltd.(up 4.22%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(up 4.13%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.80%), Emami Ltd.(up 3.50%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(up 2.85%), Dabur India Ltd.(up 2.81%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 2.59%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(up 1.93%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.58%) and Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 1.37%) stood among the top gainers.
Future Consumer Ltd.(down 5.21%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(down 4.27%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 3.47%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(down 2.50%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 2.08%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 2.01%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.00%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 1.61%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(down 1.49%) and Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 1.46%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 3.3 points down at 24320.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 36.22 points at 79960.38.
Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.8%), ITC Ltd.(up 2.3%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.24%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.58%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.18%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.14%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.14%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.93%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.91%) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.87%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
