Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.25%
Shares of Wipro Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.5 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.47 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 1.1 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.25 per cent at 45526.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 137.16 points at 24198.85, while the BSE Sensex stood 502.25 points at 80182.2.
