Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index 0.42% in an upbeat market

Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.19 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.49 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 1.78 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was 0.42 per cent at 23361.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 119.1 points at 23862.0, while the BSE Sensex was 408.9 points at 78916.31.
